Provides affordable professional counselling to individuals, couples and families to assist in coping with stressful life situations, emotional distress or relationship difficulties. One of only two women’s shelters in York Region, Sandgate provides an emergency 30-bed shelter and second stage housing for victims of violence against women, and their children. Services include group and individual support for victims of violence, and for children who are exposed to violence. YRAP is a non-profit agency dedicated to child abuse prevention and treatment. All our services are founded on the belief that the community must work together to end childhood sexual abuse.
